Hi, I’m Zoe from Canterbury in the UK – thanks for dropping in. Crafts have always been a hobby of mine since I was a child. Nowadays I am a beadaholic, and as I have made far more than I or my friends could ever wear, I am sharing some of my items with the world. I love beads and my dream is to one day own my own bead shop and run classes…but that is still many years in the future. I am completely self-taught and always keen to learn more.
I am a keen environmentalist and try to make environmentally friendly decisions whenever I can, and I have recently decided not to buy any new beads. Instead I spend time searching for vintage, second-hand, and recycled beads and jewellery that I can work into new creations. This means that all my items are totally unique and one-of-a-kind. All other materials (findings etc) are sourced from a local independent supplier, also based in Canterbury.
My inspiration comes, quite simply, from the beads and buttons I find. When I am handling beautiful beads, the ideas come flowing into my mind. Sometimes I try an idea and it doesn’t work, but that is all part of the creative process.
You can see more of my items in my Etsy store: rekindled.etsy.com.

Hi Zoe,
Thank you for reading and commeting on my blog Green Mama on wordpress at http://www.greenmama.wordpress.com.
Since visiting your Rekindled blog at wordpress and learning more about you and your devotion to environmental art, I am hoping that you might want to be featured on my Green Mama blog as my green friend of the week. I am a passionate stay at home mom who is hoping to make green changes in the world, one at a time.
If you agree to be featured, I will need a blurb about you and the ways you commit yourself to an environmental lifestyle. If possible, I will also need a photograph to include with the post.
I would be so happy if you agree to be a Green Friend at Green Mama. Thank you again, and I really enjoy your blog.
